James Loftis

SCCR was founded in 2015 by James Loftis.  James has over 20 years of experience in crash reconstruction.  He is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), is certified as a Medium/Heavy Truck Technician by ASE.  James retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 2020 where he was a founding member of the Traffic Homicide Unit, and served as the commander upon retiring.  While with the OHP, he reconstructed over 500 collisions, implemented a crash investigation training program and trained hundreds of troopers and police officers.

James is a partner with the Forensic Training Group, where he instructs commercial motor vehicle crash investigation courses, and developed curriculum for Heavy Truck Event Data Recorder Analysis (HvEDR).  

James frequently presents on Heavy Truck EDR's and CMV reconstruction at conferences across the country.  He has testified numerous times and has been qualified as an expert in both state and federal courts.  He is a member of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance and serves on both the Crash Data and Investigation Standards, and Training Committees.

By specializing in CMV crash investigations, he brings expertise in topics and technology that many others may not be aware of.

Jason Riddle

Jason Riddle retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol with 23 years of experience. During this time, he has been actively involved in the field of traffic crash reconstruction.

Jason has reconstructed more than 300 traffic collisions and has provided training to law enforcement officers in the field of traffic crash reconstruction.

He specializes in the field of event data recorders in both passenger cars and heavy trucks.  He has testified as an expert in court and frequently assists police officers and state troopers.

Jason is accredited by the Accreditation Committee for Traffic Accident Reconstruction.

Steve Anderson

Steve Anderson retired from the Ontario Provincial Police after 23 years of experience in law enforcement.  During this time, he has been actively involved in the field of traffic crash reconstruction.  

Mr. Anderson has reconstructed more than 550 traffic collisions, provides training to law enforcement, private consultants, and engineers in the field of traffic crash reconstruction, and specializes in the field of event data recorders in both passenger cars and heavy trucks.

Steve frequently gives lectures and conference presentations on topics involving traffic crash investigation and reconstruction.

He has completed over 100 live instrumented crash tests, ranging in the classification of vehicle, bus, motorcycle, cyclist, pedestrian, commercial vehicles, and barrier systems.

Mr. Anderson has been qualified as an expert witness to give opinion related evidence on thirteen occasions since becoming a reconstructionist. Steve routinely provides technical assistance to police officers, engineers and investigators in this field.
